Life-Link/Dynafit Randonnee Rally at Snoqualmie Pass, Washington
(45 minutes east of Seattle)
Race Courses : Start / Finish line at base of Alpental Ski Area.
The race route leads up inside the ski area to the open out of bounds gate, across the Great Scott Traverse, climbs to Piss Pass and descends downhill into the Great Scott Bowl. From lower Great Scott bowl, below the Tooth and above Source Lake, the route skins back up and racers reverse the course re-entering the ski area and descending to the base area finish Line.
For the Elite category racers, the course will include the Recreation category course, but continue from the finish area skinning up the valley trail to Source Lake. From here the route ascends the grueling uphill to Pineapple Pass around a gate back down the upper half of Great Scott Bowl around another gate, skinning up to Piss Pass and across the Great Scott Traverse. Then it's time to point 'em down to the finish line via the ski area. The course promises to be a challenge through Alpental's breathtaking backcountry terrain.
